The Center for Creative Resources is an arts management firm dedicated to helping artists and arts organizations realize their goals through organizational capacity building and improved institutional effectiveness.
Different from other “consultant” firms, CCR has developed a unique method of reviewing and improving all aspects of an arts organization—the management, marketing, fundraising, strategic planning, and organizational development—as a comprehensive whole. Beginning with a detailed research and planning process, CCR works closely with each client to develop a project operating plan that informs and prioritizes the immediate needs and goals of the organization or project objectives. Unlike most consultants who leave an assignment before the implementation of their recommendations has begun, CCR not only provides advice and counsel, but embarks upon fulfilling and achieving the goals of the developed plan.
Committed to this hands-on approach, the CCR team becomes a collaborative partner with its clients to supplement staff and volunteer resources. CCR attends board meetings and performances, researches and writes grants, oversees the development and distribution of marketing and promotional materials, and much more, with the intention of alleviating the pressures facing artistic leadership, board members, and other key members of an organization.
In addition to its work with the nonprofit cultural sector, CCR served as the the operating company for the first year of The Times Center (www.thetimescenter.com), a new public assembly facility located in Midtown Manhattan and owned by The New York Times. CCR began working on this project three years ago and researched and wrote its original operating and business plan.
The Center for Creative Resources was founded in 2003 by Victor Gotesman and Noel Hayashi.
